Rise'n'Shine - Water of All - Maji kwa Wote (Official Music Video)
Water for All – Maji kwa Wote The song Water for All – Maji kwa Wote is a song about rural water access and water administration in East Africa. Rise’n’Shine cooperated with the German Organization “Mazi kwa woshe” to write a song that strengthens the identification of rural water users with their water organization. It is also talking about environmental protection near water sources and the importance that everyone has rights to water but also the obligation to take care of the water system. A sustainable water project can only be maintained if women are empowered to be in decision-making positions and men help to clean and sustain the pipe system in rural areas. The song Water for All – Maji kwa Wote is the perfect way to raise awareness in the community, so that the local people take on ownership of their water project and make it sustainable. Several TV channels (Star TV, TBC, Global TV, Cloud TV, Cloud media, Azam TV, Ukombozi Radio, ITV) in East Africa have already reported about the engagement of Rise’n’Shine playing for change: https://streamable.com/h4dwlw https://streamable.com/gfy2yt https://youtu.be/8NgorkjYOY8 https://youtu.be/yaV4m7XkRqE Check also our homepage www.riseupafrica.org #Rise'n'Shine
Rise'n'Shine - Our World - Our House
With Dr. Anne-Christina Achterberg-Boness, employee in the East of Lake Victoria Diocese in Tanzania and at the same time singer of the Tanzanian band "Rise'n'Shine", the idea and the request came to the Infodesk on Climate Justice: The production of a joint climate song to point out the fatal effects of the climate crisis on both countries, Tanzania and Germany, as well as the urgency of joint action. In recent years, the afro-reggae band Rise'n'Shine, which is well-known in Tanzania, has already gone on tour with songs to raise awareness, including the subject of cancer prevention. The new song project "Our World – Our House" focuses on the concern for our "common house". The special feature of this music project: The lyrics, the choral passages, as well as the ideas for the music video were developed from the beginning in Tanzanian-German cooperation. Former volunteers from the volunteer program of the Center for Mission and Ecumenism under the direction of the Infodesk on Climate Justice also participated and coordinated the project. With its positive message, it is intended to spread hope and encourage people to act together and across national borders to act for climate justice.
Rise'n'Shine - Usimwache mtu nyuma
“And you feel in your heart: the ground on which we stand is the call to walk together on this road. Every step that we take will change and move this world. Walk with God - leave no one behind.” We live in a cruel world full of people talking bad words, acting egoistic, and judging each other just to tear each other down. Our message to you bad minded people: Stop behaving funny – start seeing the world through loving and helping eyes. We can change the world with our own hands to make it a better place for everyone. Rise’n’Shine has a message for you – Leave no one behind.
